Einsturzende Neubauten - Jewels (EURO CD) (May 20th) Jewels is a collection of songs which were originally available only as monthly download gifts to the supporters of the third phase of the project Neubauten.org. Completed in mid-2007 it consists of 15 'jewels' as the band liked to call them which were all based on singer Blixa Bargeld's dreams. Marc Almond - Gabriel & The Lunatic Lover (INTL CD) (May 6th) First in a series of collaborative releases by Marc Almond and Michael Cashmore (Current 93). The duo sets to music 2 poems by Count Stanislaus Eric Stenbock, the extraordinary 19th-century gay writer whose bizarre life of decadence, drug-addiction, alcoholism, and poetry (coupled with Satanic, vampiric, and Catholic obsessions) led to his early death at the age of 36 in 1895. Four Tet - Ringer (US CD) (May 6th) Four Tet returns with four tracks of techno (not techno). The Ringer mini album is a 32 minute, four-track excursion into the kind of wide-open spaces you might find if you set out to make techno with an afrobeat/krautrock sensibility. The Cure - The Only One (EURO CD) (7") (May 13th) This Brand New Single is the first of four over the next 4 months. Each comes with a unique single mix and exclusive B-Side. That track clocks in at eight minutes (and half of that being the intro), it's an unusual choice for a single, but all it takes is one listen to understand why DCFC have such a loyal fanbase. Originally signed to Cherry Red in 1981 and their first single, Hungry, So Angry, caused quite an immediate stir at club and Alternative radio level, creating quite a buzz around the band. 16 tracks, including an enhanced video for Hungry, So Angry. The Residents - Duck Stab (INTL LTD CD) (May 6th) 30th Anniversary Edition of the album that unwittingly produced several instant classics: Hello Skinny, Constantinople, Bach is Dead and Blue Rosebuds. Eskimo (INTL LTD CD) arrives the same day. These Limited Editions are housed in deluxe hardback books.
